Mandate and scope

The Chamber of Lawyers is operating a lawyer on-call service. This ensures that a suspect who is arrested by the police for an offence may at any time assert his rights and contact a defence lawyer. Defence in the framework of the on-call service includes a consultancy talk by telephone with the lawyer providing the on-call service; at the suspect's request, the talk may also be face-to-face. If necessary, the lawyer may also be called upon for the examination by the police and for carrying out any other acts that may be necessary for the purpose of suitable defence.
